Pick your perfect Christmas tree type and size. Your Christmas Tree will then be harvested and packaged in a custom box which helps keep in the freshness. Due to an increase in demand and limited availability, we highly recommend that you place your order as soon as possible. Note that ordering your tree early will not affect when your tree is cut. When you place your order, you can select the week you would like your tree shipped. We then harvest the trees each week prior to shipping.
Many retail Christmas tree lots are supplied with trees harvested in October. Our Christmas trees are harvested and shipped within two weeks. We take pride in delivering you fresh trees.
Shipping rates vary depending on the size of the Christmas tree and where you are located. To get a shipping quote add the item you would like to purchase to your shopping cart and then select the “Calculate Shipping” link which is located below the order total. You can then get a shipping quote by simply entering your State and Zip Code.
UPS includes Peak Season fees for all items shipping during the holiday season. We will do our best to work with UPS to provide you with the most cost-effective shipping options.
When you order from Maple Hill Farm – Barton, Vermont, you will have the option to select the estimated date you want your Christmas Tree to be shipped.
You will receive tracking information once your tree has been shipped. Until your tree has been scanned by UPS, your tracking number will not show a status, even though it has been shipped. While the transit times are typically accurate, UPS does not guarantee transit times for ground shipments.
During check-out, you must select "UPS Ground" during the shipping options. Orders with a $15.05 Flat Rate Shipping fee are subject to cancelation. Regretfully, there are website limitations in this regard. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, transit times make take longer than normal. Please select an Approximate Ship Date that allows extra time in-case shipping delays occur.

All Christmas Trees and Christmas Wreaths are shipped in a custom box to ensure they stay fresh.
Maple Hill Farm - Barton, Vermont LLC. is an independently owned, diversified farm located in the Northeast Kingdom. Our Balsam and Fraser selection responds well to the rich soil and cold climate. We have thousands of Christmas Trees to choose from. Trees vary in height from 4 to 9 feet tall.
We invite you to kick off your Holiday Season by choosing and cutting a tree from our farm.
We have sleds and bow-saws available for your convenience.
We use Balsam for our traditional Christmas wreaths. Balsam is known for their full fragrance, making it an excellent choice for outdoor decorations.
When you bring your tree home, saw a couple inches off the bottom of the trunk before setting in water. When trees are cut, pitch oozes out and seals the pores. By sawing off the base, you will open up the pores, and the tree will be able to absorb water.
Watering is critical. A freshly-cut tree can consume a gallon of water in 24 hours!
Fill the tree stand with water and keep it filled.
Never let the water level go below the tree’s base.
Indoors, keep the tree away from heating ducts or other heat sources. In fact, the lower the temperature, the better the tree will do.
One old Vermonter we knew always packed his tree stand with well-watered soil and planted the tree in the mixture. The soil should be kept wet.
Some people add aspirin or sugar to the water; we can’t say whether either helps. Again, water is the vital element.
